What Carries Us?

This exhibition offers fresh insight into the role played by Newfoundland in the Atlantic trade. This territory played a significant role in the Atlantic slave trade, though it’s almost forgotten. The exhibition features etchings and paintings from local contemporary artists.
Chapter III: The Middle River
- Venue: East Edge Gallery
- Date: April 24- June 6, 2020
This expo is part of an ongoing collaboration initiated by Pam Hall. It uses art to document the lives of the native Miawpukek/ Conne river community. It also features works from over 100 collaborators. There’s also an open dialogue on how we can live side by side with the native American river communities.
The Thaw collection
- Venue: Mitchell Art Gallery
- Date: March 6–April 26, 2020
The Fenimore Art Museum presents its collection of American Indian art. Immerse yourself in the deep history and culture of these proud people. The exhibition features paintings, carvings, beadwork and other forms of authentic art. Some of the artefacts date to as far back as the 13th century.
St. John’s College Community Art Expo

This annual event brings art from some of the most talented students from local colleges. Such pieces include prints, photos, paintings and other art forms. Each presentation is elegant, well thought and worth collecting. The Colleges’ alumina, faculty, and staff also present pieces.
